Not a big fan of Joyce Meyer. But this quote, really is one of the best I have found about patience. Was looking for patience quotes. Mine has been running thin lately (not just forum and game stuff either.)

Hi @AngelicAngieK,

Your quote reminds me of my doctor visit a couple of days ago. I came into the waiting area and almost every chair was taken. So I took my book and started to read. All the time I was waiting, people were complaining while doctors did there best to win back the lost time because one of them was called away for something urgent.

I was the last person to leave the waiting area about 2 hours late, but I had a good time with a good book [thumbup]

"Science is the antithesis of faith. Science, by definition, is the attempt to find physical proof for that which is unknown or not yet defined, and to reject superstition and misperception in favor of observable facts. When science offers an answer, that answer is universal. Humans do not go to war over it; they rally around it."

Excerpt from Dan Brown's "Origin". (I wish a true bibliophile would start a thread about books.)

In memory of the late Mr. Steven Hawking... who just passed away. Here's to you, and finally knowing the answer to lives greatest mystery. I know he never believed in God or the afterlife, and I personally find that disheartening... to think there is NOTHING after this short trip we call life. But he did believe in the fact that nobody can be perfect and we all make mistakes.

I came across this quote in a book in a doctors office when I was about 10 or 11 and it really made a big impression on me. It has helped me quite a bit throughout my life.

" Profanity is the last refuge of the illiterate"
